It has long been known from the private sector: energy labels for refrigerators. They are intended to provide the consumer with a quick overview of the expected electricity costs.
For a long time, the labels were unknown to the commercial sector. This changed with EU Regulation 2015/1094, which applies to all refrigerators and freezers with solid doors. In addition to devices without a solid door, devices with silent cooling or those that are primarily intended for the display and direct sale of food are exempt from this rule.
The energy labels for households and businesses cannot be directly compared! Due to the greatly different test conditions, the energy classes and the kWh/year value between commercial and household products are not comparable.
